Preston’s is owned by Robbie and Samantha Richburg. Preston’s got their name from Robbie’s dad, Preston Richburg who was the face of Circle S in Goshen. They serve steak, seafood, drinks, and much more.
Norma Helen’s Deli is located downtown Luverne. It was named after two women, Norma Hendrix and Helen VanLieu. They offer a variety of sandwiches named after streets in Luverne along with daily specials.
It Don’t Matter is located in Highland Home and offers southern food served buffet style at lunch. Dinner options such as catfish, fried chicken, and much more are also available.
Los Hermanos is in Luverne and owned by three brothers. They serve excellent Mexican dishes including fajita nachos, fajita salad, quesadillas, and specialties like Edgar’s Special. They also offer beer and frozen drinks.

The Peanut Boil which began in 1970 is held every Labor Day Weekend in the City of Luverne. Tons of peanuts are boiled and bagged by the Crenshaw County Alcazar Shrine Club and volunteers.
The fireworks show is held at Turner Park in Luverne each year near the fourth of July by the City of Luverne. Others such as the Crenshaw County Commission and Town of Brantley contribute to make sure the event continues to take place each year.
Festival at the Well
The Festival at the Well is a festival held in Downtown Glenwood around a flowing well. The event is always held on the third Saturday in May and includes a parade, arts, crafts, food, live entertainment, a street dance, car show, and much more.
Around the first of December is the Crenshaw County Chamber of Commerce Annual Christmas Parade in Luverne. Companies, groups, and churches come together to create floats for the night parade. You can also see antique vehicles, fire trucks, horses, bikers, and more. In addition to the entertainment factor, entrants in the parade all donate a toy or toys to the Crenshaw County Department of Human Resources (DHR) to support Operation Santa Claus, which every year provides Christmas packages to 450-500 children.
